Learn how to use a keyboard and mouse with your iPad

For iPad Air (4th & 5th gen), iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd gen or later), or iPad Pro 11-inch (1st gen or later) iPadOS 14.5 or later

iPad Keyboard

  • You can connect Apple branded keyboards designed for iPad by placing the iPad in the keyboard case or by attaching the iPad to the keyboard via the contact pins.

  • Almost all non-Apple Bluetooth keyboards are compatible with iPad and can be added within Settings > Bluetooth.

  • Don't forget to charge your iPad. Depending on the type of keyboard that you are using, you have it may use your iPad's battery for power. If you have an Apple Magic Keyboard you can charge your iPad through the keyboard!

  • You can adjust your trackpad speed on Apple Magic Keyboard by going to Settings > General > Trackpad. You can change the pointer speed and enable or disable tap to click and two finger second selection.
