Evaluation Terms
Evaluation Fees:
- All computers and printers must be evaluated before MacMac will provide a repair estimate.
- The evaluation fee for computers and printers is $70.00 plus tax.
- The evaluation fee for computers and printers with liquid damage is $155.00 plus tax.
- Evaluation fees must be prepaid unless you have established terms with MacMan or your device is under the manufacturer’s warranty.

Exceptions:
- If your Mac is covered by Apple Limited Warranty or an AppleCare agreement and has no visible physical damage, the evaluation fee will not be collected upfront. Some restrictions may apply.
- If no evaluation fee is collected upfront and MacMan determines your Mac’s reported issue is due to a software problem, a standard evaluation fee of $70.00 plus tax will be added to the service repair order, regardless of the device’s warranty status.
- Evaluation fees are non-refundable.

Warranty Service & Software Labor Terms
- Apple Limited Warranty and AppleCare agreements cover your Mac’s hardware for manufacturing defects and general failures. Some AppleCare agreements also cover accidental or physical damage, subject to incident deductibles.
- Apple Limited Warranty and AppleCare agreements do not cover your Mac’s software. All software issues on Macs under these agreements will be subject to MacMan’s standard out-of-warranty evaluation fee and labor rates.

No Troubles Found Evaluation Terms
- If no evaluation fee is collected upfront and MacMan is unable to replicate any issue(s) with your Mac during the evaluation, a standard evaluation fee of $70.00 plus tax will be added to your service repair order, regardless of the device’s warranty status.

Requote Denial Terms
- If no evaluation fee is collected upfront and your Mac is covered by Apple Limited Warranty or an AppleCare agreement, and MacMan discovers an issue not covered by these agreements, a re-quote will be provided. If you decline the re-quote and cancel the service, a standard evaluation fee of $70.00 plus tax will be added to the service repair order, regardless of the device’s warranty status.

Repairs Cancelled at Customer's Request
- If no evaluation fee is collected upfront and you cancel your service repair order before repair completion, MacMan reserves the right to apply a $70.00 plus tax evaluation fee to your service repair order, regardless of your device's warranty status.

Expedited Service Terms
- Purchasing expedited service moves your service repair order to the top of our priority list but does not guarantee same-day completion. The expedited service fee is $155.00 plus tax and is non-refundable.
- Expedited service fees are not discounted or waived if your device is covered by Apple Limited Warranty or an AppleCare agreement.

Find My Device Terms
- "Find My Mac" must be turned off before MacMan can process any non-accessory hardware repairs for Mac computers.
- Extended repair turnaround times and additional labor fees may result if "Find My Mac" is not turned off before your Mac is checked in for service.

Data Liability Terms
- MacMan is not liable for the loss or corruption of any data or any of your confidential, proprietary, or personal information or removable media.
- If your Mac has failing hardware, it is likely that your data will be erased during the repair.
- During troubleshooting and repair, device firmware and/or software may need to be updated, potentially causing some applications, programs, software, files, plugins, or extensions to become unlicensed, unsupported, corrupted, changed in functionality, or lose specific functionality.
- BEFORE BRINGING IN YOUR COMPUTER FOR ANY TRAINING OR SERVICE, MAKE A BACKUP COPY OF YOUR DATA, REMOVE ANY CONFIDENTIAL, PROPRIETARY, OR PERSONAL INFORMATION, AND DISCONNECT MEDIA OR DEVICES SUCH AS CDs, DVDs, PC CARDS, OR FLASH DRIVES.

Precautionary Data Backup Terms
- At your request, MacMan will attempt a precautionary backup of the data on your Mac computer before servicing. Eligibility is limited by device condition and functionality.
- The fee for attempting a precautionary backup is $40.00 plus tax and is non-refundable.
- Precautionary backup services are not available on devices that do not power on and boot into the operating system, or if the customer is unable or unwilling to provide their local admin computer password.
- If the option for a precautionary backup attempt is selected and your device does not power on or boot into the operating system, MacMan will revise the service quote to a data recovery attempt. Data recovery attempt services start at $175.00.
- MacMan will not store your data on any device(s) you do not own. Therefore, a storage device with sufficient available space must be provided by the customer. If unavailable, one can be purchased from MacMan, subject to availability.

Terms Associated with Cases, Screen Protectors, and Accessories
- MacMan is not liable for any accessories checked in with a Mac computer. Accessories include, but are not limited to, cases, screen protectors, camera covers, stickers, keyboard covers, cables, and chargers.
- Accessories must often be removed before a repair can be performed. MacMan reserves the right to discard screen protectors, stickers, and other accessories if they must be removed for any reason.

Wear and Tear Terms
- MacMan is not responsible for data loss or normal wear and tear on equipment during the repair process. Normal wear and tear include minor scuffs and scratches, fingerprints, or other signs of cosmetic wear resulting from moving, repairing, and testing your equipment.

Completion of Service Terms
- Customers agree to pay all service charges upon pickup of their equipment, unless terms have been established.
- Equipment on service repair orders not picked up within 30 days of repair completion notification will be considered abandoned and become the property of MacMan, Inc. All abandoned equipment will be recycled.

Apple Repair Terms
- Replacement equipment that Apple provides as part of the repair or replacement service may contain new or previously used Apple genuine parts that have been tested and passed Apple functional requirements.
- Any equipment that Apple provides as part of the repair or replacement service will include a 90 day warranty that covers manufacturing defects and general failures. Subject to consumer’s statutory rights, replacement parts that are used in a repair covered by warranty will be warrantied for the remainder of your device warranty or 90 days, whichever is longer.
- Any personal details shared with MacMan (e.g., name, address, contact numbers, etc) may be provided to and/or used by Apple for review.

Repeat Service Terms
- If there is an issue with your equipment after service, notify us immediately.
- If the hardware issue directly relates to the original serviced issue, MacMan will re-evaluate and/or diagnose the device at our expense. This coverage is limited to one additional evaluation and/or diagnosis and does not guarantee full repair labor coverage or replacement parts. Some restrictions may apply.
- Issues not brought to our attention within 10 days from the date of pickup will be treated as new issues, and additional evaluation fees may apply.
- Software-related repairs and services come with no formal guarantee, but we will work with you to resolve your issue. Additional labor fees may be required.
- Most replacement Apple service parts come with a 90-day limited hardware warranty, which does not cover accidental or physical damage to the applicable part.

Sales Tax Terms
- All services and service labor rates are subject to sales tax.

Payment Terms
- Customers who have not established terms with us are required to pay for their service repair order upon equipment pickup.
- A finance charge of 1.5% will be applied to all late payments. A $35.00 fee will be applied to all NSF checks.
