Service Terms For Device Resets and Restores

Acknowledgment of Data Loss
- If an iPad, iPod, iPhone, Apple Watch, or Apple TV is disabled due to multiple incorrect password or passcode attempts, it must be reset before it can be used again.
- If an iPad, iPod, iPhone, Apple Watch, or Apple TV cannot be accessed due to a forgotten password or passcode, it must be reset before it can be used again.
- Please note that the process of resetting an iPad, iPod, iPhone, Apple Watch, or Apple TV will result in the complete erasure of all data on the device.
- MacMan does not have the capability to bypass or reset the password or passcode on an iPad, iPod, iPhone, Apple Watch, or Apple TV.
- The customer acknowledges that if their iPad, iPod, iPhone, Apple Watch, or Apple TV is disabled due to incorrect password or passcode attempts and/or the password or passcode has been forgotten, MacMan will be unable to back up or preserve any data on the device before it is reset.
 
Data Liability Terms
- MacMan is not liable for the loss or corruption of any data, confidential, proprietary, or personal information, or removable media.
- By choosing MacMan to reset your iPad, iPod, iPhone, Apple Watch, or Apple TV, you understand that all data on your device will be permanently erased, and this process is irreversible.
- The data that will be erased includes, but is not limited to, photos, videos, applications, contacts, messages, voice memos, and settings.
 
Find My Device/Apple ID Activation Lock Terms
- If an iPad, iPod, iPhone, Apple Watch, or Apple TV has Find My Device enabled at the time of the reset, the device will be subject to Apple ID Activation Lock.
- To unlock a device that is Apple ID Activation Locked, the device owner must re-enter the correct Apple ID and password associated with the device. Until the Apple ID Activation Lock is removed, the device will be inaccessible for non-emergency functions.
- MacMan does not have access to or record of customers' Apple ID information and cannot bypass Apple ID Activation Locks.
- By having MacMan perform a reset of your device, you agree to hold MacMan harmless in the event of any loss of functionality due to an Apple ID Activation Lock.
 
Warranty Service & Reset/Restore Labor Terms
- Apple Limited Warranty and AppleCare agreements do not cover software issues. Software problems on devices under Apple Limited Warranty or AppleCare agreements will incur MacMan’s standard out-of-warranty evaluation fees and labor rates.
- Basic Reset and Reset and Restore Attempt services are not covered by Apple Limited Warranty or AppleCare agreements.
 
Terms Associated with Cases, Screen Protectors, and Accessories
- MacMan is not liable for any accessories checked in with an iPad, iPod, iPhone, Apple Watch, or Apple TV. Accessories include, but are not limited to, cases, screen protectors, camera covers, stickers, cables, and chargers.
- In many cases, accessories must be removed before a repair can be performed.
- MacMan reserves the right to discard screen protectors or accessories if they need to be removed for any reason.
 
Wear and Tear Terms
- MacMan and its employees are not responsible for data loss or normal wear and tear on equipment during any stage of the repair process. Normal wear and tear includes minor scuffs, scratches, fingerprints, or other cosmetic wear that may occur from moving, repairing, and testing your equipment.
 
eSIM Terms
- eSIM terms apply to devices utilizing an Embedded Subscriber Identity Module (eSIM) to connect to a cellular service provider.
- During the factory reset of an iPhone, Cellular Apple Watch, or Cellular iPad, eSIM data may be erased. By having MacMan service your device, you understand that you may need to contact your cellular service provider to reactivate your cellular service and/or eSIM after the repair and agree to hold MacMan harmless for any loss of device functionality resulting from eSIM data loss.
 
Completion of Service Terms
- Customers agree to pay all service charges upon pickup of their equipment unless alternative terms have been established. Any equipment not picked up within 30 days of MacMan notifying the customer of repair completion will be considered abandoned and will become the property of MacMan, Inc. All abandoned equipment will be recycled.
 
Sales Tax Terms
- All service and labor rates are subject to sales tax.
 
Payment Terms
- Pre-payment is required for all reset services provided by MacMan.
 
Apple Repair Terms
- Any personal details shared with MacMan (e.g., name, address, contact numbers) may be provided to and/or used by Apple for review.
